From The Front Line:

Larry Love of Alabama 3 on W.O.M.B.L.E 2

Where are we now in your W.O.M.B.L.E story?

We are now entering phase two of The World of Militant Beat Liberating Executioners strategy. Whilst aware of the fact that some Alabama 3 fans are somewhat shocked at the mash up tactics deployed in Womble Vol 1, I can assure those that have those fears will not be remedied by Vol 2. The Women From W.O.M.B.L.E takes musical militancy to another level.

We have attempted to craft a record that both stimulates and evokes the men and more importantly, the women of our community and we whole heartedly support the recent awareness amongst young women as regards feminism. We furthermore feel it definitely does have a place amongst funky dancefloors.

Will you tell us about the style of music?

As much as Vol. 1 was meant to disturb and distress people, whilst at the same time seducing them, Vol 2 uses similar tactics in the sense that we are employing some of the more generic Alabama 3 constituent parts. At the same time we are letting our technological imagination run riot! We’ve been working with lots of different producers and engineers like Wizard, Stevie Decibel, Dan Dan, Mikey Outs and Damon Alexander in the Jamm studios. The album has been quickly cut and developed at a somewhat unnaturally fast pace. Womble 1, 2 and 3 are designed to be written very quickly, produced very quickly and delivered very quickly. For any doubters out there, please be patient…we have the right as revolutionaries to make mistakes. The first bomb doesn’t always find its target.

Womble Vol. 1 is now in the course of being remixed, the purpose being to generate and disseminate by any means necessary, the songs that lie at the heart of the W.O.M.B.L.E concept.  We are in the process of getting remixes done by a wide variety of people. W.O.M.B.L.E, therin complying with the initial manifesto is a constitution of how we should operate in the music industry. As these projects develop, keep faith brothers and sisters. You’ll find us in Wetherspoons, you’ll find us in WalMart, you’ll find us in your jingles in the morning. We aim to contaminate, and our petri dish is over flowing!
